Immunizations
Tetanus vaccinations A tetanus vaccination is important for workers in contact with soil, sewage or domestic animals, or those with greater than usual risk of traumatic injury. A tetanus booster is recommended every 10 years to maintain active protection.
Flu Shots Flu shots are offered in October and November. The vaccine takes about six weeks to build immunity.
Hepatitis B Employers are required to offer Hepatitis B vaccinations to all employees who are exposed to blood or other potentially infectious materials as part of their jobs, in accordance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Occupational Exposure to Bloodborne Pathogens Standard. The three-injection series is given during a six-month period, and can be provided at your work site.
